It’s that time of year again. The temperatures start to drop, smoke can be seen curling from the chimneys, the leaves change colour, and tartan abounds. We must be off to Glen Innes. The Australian Celtic Festival is just around the corner.
This year, the festival celebrates the Celtic nations of Brittany, Cornwall and Isle of Man, and Murphy’s Pigs will be standing right in the middle of it. Up to our necks. Whether it be the concerts at the Services Club or the performances up at the beautiful Standing Stones there’s bound to be something that’ll get you dancing or singing. Or both. A full programme of entertainment, and many food and gift stalls await those who travel up the hill from town.
This year we have two concerts at the Services Club, on the Friday and Saturday nights. The Friday night is a stand alone concert with the promise of the usual organised chaos. Saturday night will be a touch more serene as we welcome the lovely and talented Ella Roberts to share the concert with us. She broke the boy’s hearts when she married on the 19th of March. Her sweet voice is sure to melt yours.
Tickets are available at the Services Club. Contact details on the Pigs Gigs page. Get in early. Tickets are limited.
We thank you for your support and look forward to seeing you on the night.
